Biography

Dr. Aanchal Alagh is a distinguished analytical engineer with a Ph.D. in Material science and nanotechnology from Universidad Rovira I Virgili, Spain. With over five years of research experience, she specializes in nanomaterial synthesis for applications in gas sensing, wastewater treatment, and hydrophobic coatings. Currently, she is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Northern British Columbia, leading innovative research on CO2 reduction using RainIons Technology.

Dr. Alagh's academic journey includes a dual degree in Bachelor of Technology (BTech) and Master of Technology in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology from Amity University, India. Her research has been published in high-impact journals, and she has presented her work at international conferences. She has received several accolades, including the Mitacs Accelerate PostDoctoral Research grant, the MSCA COFUND for Early-Stage Researcher and the DAAD research fellowship.

In addition to her technical expertise, Dr. Alagh is proficient in project management and has mentored international research interns through the MITACS Globalink program. Her skills encompass a wide range of scientific tools and techniques, and she is known for her collaborative approach and problem-solving abilities.

My research interests lie at the intersection of nanotechnology and environmental science, with a focus on the synthesis and application of nanomaterials for sustainable solutions. My current research explores innovative technologies for CO2 reduction, transforming air pollution into safer compounds. I am dedicated to pushing the boundaries of clean energy and environmental sustainability through my interdisciplinary and cutting-edge research.
