I also volunteered on the UNBC Board of Governors, the UNBC Senate, and the UNBC Alumni Council. I was the Student Representative on the School of Social Work committee for a few years where I acted as a liaison between the faculty and student body. I had the privilege of being the UNBC Delegate to the Congress of the Federation of Humanities and Social Sciences in 2016. I have spoken at the UNBC Donors Appreciation Night in 2019 and 2024 as the Student and Alumni speaker respectively.

When I'm not at UNBC, I work as the Allied Health Clinical Lead at Northern Health for the Student Practice Education Team. This is the team that supports all the student placements that come to Northern Health from all our post secondary partners, and also supports our new graduate hires. I now travel across the regions to meet students, preceptors, and new graduates to learn from them how we can enhance their experiences and build capacity in our teams. I also routinely pick up shifts as an acute care social worker to continue to keep my skills active on the frontlines. Lastly, I am a Board Member for the College of New Caledonia now where I get to take the skills I learned from UNBC and continue to develop them ongoingly
