Join us for a transformative event to help shape the future of entrepreneurship in the North. We’re bringing together students, faculty, entrepreneurs, innovators, support organizations, community leaders, and industry partners to collectively discuss the current entrepreneurship landscape and co-create a future for enhanced regional growth and collaboration. We will explore the challenges faced by entrepreneurs, explore actionable steps towards creating opportunities, and envision a path for social and economic growth in the North with a focus on the role UNBC can play.

The focus of the morning session will be to set the stage for the roundtable discussion in the afternoon session.

Featured speakers:

  • Dr. Gerald Grant, Principal Investigator of the Black Entrepreneurship Knowledge Hub (BEKH), Carleton University.
  • Emily Jones Joanisse, Social innovator and CEO of Connected Canadians, Director of the Sprott Social Impact Hub, Carleton University.

This gathering offers unprecedented opportunities to:
•    Connect with key decision-makers and shape entrepreneurial support programs
•    Build strategic partnerships and identify emerging opportunities
•    Contribute to sustainable social and economic development in the northern context

Register to be a part of co-creating a roadmap for entrepreneurial growth that leverages the unique strengths of Northern BC. Together, we'll build an inclusive ecosystem that benefits everyone in the region.

This event is made possible through the collaborative support of the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC), the Black Entrepreneurship Knowledge Hub (BEKH)Northern Innovation Network, and partnership with Women Entrepreneurship BC (WeBC) funded in part by the Government of Canada’s Women Entrepreneurship Strategy.
