Across 2024 and in particular during last Fall you engaged invaluably with the UNBC Academic Plan Refresh, sharing your thoughts and voice regarding how we align a refreshed academic plan with our UNBC Strategic Plan, and to shape an academic vision that truly reflects the current needs and aspirations of our university community.

The Academic Plan Refresh Advisory and Working Committee are excited to share a draft academic plan, the READY Roadmap: Academic Plan 2025-2031.

Draft document: READY Roadmap: Academic Plan 2025-2031

This version is a draft of the main content of the academic plan for your review, excluding final graphic formatting.

We are grateful for your continued commitment to building a dynamic and inclusive academic environment and we want your feedback on the draft plan prior to a final stage of refinement, completion, and endorsement through Senate.

We welcome any comments, suggestions, or other ideas. You can share these by email to academicplan@unbc.ca by 4:30pm on Friday 7th February, or in attendance at the following town hall meeting where the draft plan will be presented and the floor open to your questions:

  • Thursday, February 6th, 3:00pm-4:00pm, 6-213 - Canfor Theatre

Note, an online session is running on the February 7th, as an alternative opportunity to hear about and discuss the draft academic plan. See that event listing.

Thank you again for your engagement and support.
Sincerely,

Dr. Owen
