The Office of Equity and Inclusion is pleased to present the fourth session of the EDIA Speaker Series. Njeri Damali Sojourner-Campbell will continuing the series touching on Anti-Racism. Following a short break, Njeri will facilitate discussions to translate awareness into actionable steps.

Njeri Damali Sojourner-Campbell (she/her) is a Partner in Hicks Morley’s Toronto office.  She practices law in the areas of Labour and Employment, Human Rights and Education. She is a recognized thought leader in human rights law and education law, and is frequently relied upon by her clients to advise on complex legal and emerging matters, such as competing legal rights. Njeri has appeared as counsel before human rights adjudicators and labour arbitrators on matters related to workplace harassment, discrimination, accommodation issues, academic hiring, and policy issues, and she has been an advisor on collective agreement issues. Njeri is the founder of the UJIMA Mentorship Circle, where she provides professional development and eldership opportunities to Black women, nonbinary and genderfluid students and legal professionals. Outside of her legal work, Njeri is a prolific reader of Black Speculative fiction and writer of poetry and short fiction in the speculative memoir and science fiction genres.
