This is a great opportunity for students and families to engage in hands-on math puzzles and activities that will help prepare participants for the upcoming Canada Lynx Mathematical Competition. UNBC will be hosting this contest on October 3, 2024. Please watch for more details to come and mark your calendars, registration deadline is Sept 26 at 4 pm PST, please email mathstats-admin@unbc.ca to register! It’s a fantastic way to sharpen problem-solving skills while enjoying the collaborative spirit of mathematics! 

Event Details:

Location: University of Northern British Columbia, room 10-2088 in the Teaching and Learning building in the Mathematical Academic Centre for Excellence (MACE)

Date: September 19, 2024

Drop-In Time: 6 – 8 PM

To kick off the event, Pizza Pi will be served promptly at 6 PM, so come hungry for both pizza pi and puzzles!

Please note, all minors must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the event.
