Position: Substitute Caregiver for children aged 18 months to 5 years

UNBC Childcare Society is looking for an Early Childhood Educators or ECE Assistants to be on our list of on call substitutes.  Candidates should demonstrate initiative, excellent communication skills and a commitment to working in a multidisciplinary environment.  We offer a professional workplace, competitive wage and dynamic team to work with.

Qualifications:

• A License to Practice in ECE or License to Practice as an ECE Assistant
• Emergency Child care First Aid and CPR certificate
• A Criminal Record Review as per Community Care Facility Licensing
• A record of immunization against communicable illness and letter from a physician testifying to the applicant’s suitability working with children

Period of Employment:  This would be an on call position, as needed

Hours of Work: Shift times could be anywhere from 2 hours to 7 hours

Wage and Benefits: dependent on education level
