Yukon College and UNBC Explore Opportunities for Greater Collaboration

Increasing educational and research opportunities in the North is the goal of a meeting next week that will involve representatives from Yukon College and the University of Northern British Columbia.

The meeting will be held in Whitehorse and involve both presidents, other senior administrative staff, and faculty. The UNBC delegation will be comprised of 16 people. They will be discussing opportunities for enhancing transfer arrangements for students, research opportunities, future degree-completion opportunities, and increasing course availability through UNBC’s Continuing Studies program.

Yukon College President Terry Weninger and UNBC President Don Cozzetto will be signing a Memorandum of Understanding at the conclusion of the meeting. Members of the media are welcome to attend.
