A major addition to the University of Northern British Columbia's Prince George campus is now officially open.

The92,000 square foot Teaching and Learning Centre is located at the northend of the campus and is the academic headquarters for ten degreeprograms, Continuing Studies, and a number of student servicedepartments.

The building was built toaccommodate the projected growth in student numbers at UNBC, especiallyin popular programs such as Business, Education, Nursing, and HealthSciences.

It features a stunning, 68-foottall atrium - the tallest on campus - providing spactacular views ofthe campus, the City of Prince George, and the mountains beyond.

Construction started in the summer of 2005 and was managed by Bird Construction.
