New Teaching and Learning Centre Officially Open

May 11, 2007
A major addition to the University of Northern British Columbia's Prince George campus is now officially open.
The 92,000 square foot Teaching and Learning Centre is located at the north end of the campus and is the academic headquarters for ten degree programs, Continuing Studies, and a number of student service departments.
The building was built to accommodate the projected growth in student numbers at UNBC, especially in popular programs such as Business, Education, Nursing, and Health Sciences.
It features a stunning, 68-foot tall atrium - the tallest on campus - providing spactacular views of the campus, the City of Prince George, and the mountains beyond.
Construction started in the summer of 2005 and was managed by Bird Construction.
