Head of Northern Medical Program Meets with Fort St. John Doctors

Dr.David Snadden, the Associate Vice-President of Medicine at UNBC and the leaderof the Northern Medical Program, along with Dr Galt Wilson, Clerkship Directorfor the program, will be visiting with Fort St. Johnphysicians tomorrow to discuss the possibility of developing core clinicaltraining for third-year medical students based around the clinical facilities inthe Northeast.

The Northern Medical Programis part of the UBC Faculty of Medicine, offered in partnership with UNBC. Itsprimary objective is to educate physicians with the skills and experiencenecessary for practice in rural and northern communities. There are currentlyfive students from northeastern BC registered in the NMP.
