The University of Northern British Columbia has established teachingand research expertise in key areas such as health care, theenvironment, and northern identity. The Northern Medical Program isonly the latest example of how UNBC is working with northerncommunities and governments to increase educational opportunities,conduct relevant research, and help diversify the regional economy.These activities protect, enhance, and celebrate the cultures andvitality of the North, and help northern communities realize theiraspirations.
