UNBC Sees Modest Enrolment Growth In Fall Semester

Analysis of student registration is showing that UNBC's student population
has grown about 3% over last year. The headcount for the fall semester
is 3651, up from 3525 at the same time last year. Although exact figures
aren't yet known, the number of students studying at regional centres
is roughly 300.
This year, the total number of undergraduate applicants surpassed 4,000
for the first time, indicating that interest in UNBC continues to grow.
Applications from prospective First Nations students rose nearly 12%,
while the number of international applicants increased by nearly 28%.
This year, there are 41 international students studying at UNBC as part
of an international exchange, the highest ever for UNBC.
Information about particular degree program enrolments will be available
in November.
