UNBC Writer's Fest Starts Later This Week
March 5, 2003 For Immediate
Release
The second annual UNBC writer's festival is starting tomorrow, presenting
local writers and others from across Canada during a series of events
around Prince George.
Just West of Unruly 2 is featuring a total of 23 writers who will be
presenting their works during 10 events throughout Prince George from
March 6-22.
"Last year, our first annual event was a big success," says
UNBC English professor Rob Budde. "It's really a great opportunity
for the University and the English program to put on an event that is
of interest to students, faculty, and the entire community. None of the
events have an admission charge, and they provide the chance for writers
at all levels to get together and talk about what they love to do. We
think it's important to present local writers and writers from across
Canada to provide local people with an exposure to what others are doing
while showcasing the great talent we have right in Prince George."
Information about each of the ten Just West of Unruly 2 presentations
is available on the UNBC website at www.unbc.ca/events.
