Landscape Painting Studio

Description

Building on basic acrylic painting skills, this course is designed for the new or intermediate painter who would like to develop landscape painting skills. Course topics include basic drawing accuracy, colour mixing, tonal values, and under-painting.

Students will be guided through surface techniques including brushwork, texture creation, compositional decision making and colour choices. Studio work will be supported by presentations that explore contemporary examples of landscape painting with accompanying class discussions about content, technique and style.

This course is offered in partnership with OCAD University to offer a wide range of courses for enhancing your career expertise in web, design, photography, analytics, and technology.

As a student, you will receive an OCAD U user account, which will grant you access to the OCAD U learning management system, called Canvas. Your Canvas account will be enabled one week prior to the start date of your course. Login at canvas.ocadu.ca.

Students are responsible for purchasing their own supplies. Regular access to a computer with a webcam and microphone, high speed broadband internet connection, and a digital camera or smartphone is required.
