Introduction to the Business of Fashion Photography
This course introduces students to the business of fashion photography. Students will learn how to develop concepts, pitch ideas effectively, create a budget, and build a team of stylists, make-up artists, and assistants for an actual shoot.
Students are guided through what equipment to use, from lighting to lenses, how to get the most out of a model, how to scout for great locations, and how to digitally enhance images after the shoot. This course is taught by Erin Seaman, Photo Editor of FASHION magazine.
For research purposes, it would be helpful for students to have access to a smartphone, tablet or laptop. WiFi would be provided. Please note, some classes will be held off campus.
This course is offered in partnership with OCAD University to offer a wide range of courses for enhancing your career expertise in web, design, photography, analytics, and technology.
